Episode 30: July 5, 2017

Hosts: Galen, GamalMully

Guests: Sara H (in studio); Noah Hicks (in studio)

We start the show with each of us sharing our #cyclingJoy from the last couple of weeks. Did you feel it? Share your story with us on social media.

Then we chat with Sara H, organizer of the Boston edition of the annual World Naked Bike Ride. The WNBR is a protest ride to raise awareness about the vulnerability of non-motorized road users which has also been described as ‘thrilling’ and could be the most fun you can have on two wheels..we learn all the ins and outs with Sara in studio.

Next up is Noah Hicks, founder of Bowdoin Bike School, who shares his journey from starting a pop-up shop on a Dorchester corner to running a brick and mortar space for nearly two years now. BBS’s unique approach includes an open shop layout, and inclusive environment and an ‘always be educating’ mindset. Noah also organized the recent QPOC (queer people of color) bike ride for inclusion, tolerance, and the sheer joy or riding.

The show ends with a short segment of #askGamal, where Gamal answers listener questions and offers practical riding tips.

Another great show, thanks for listening! Be sure to follow us on Twitter @biketalk881, and please ride safe out there.
