Episode 19: Guests galore on this episode of BikeTalk! We begin with Emily Thibodeau, proprietor of Hub Bicycle in Cambridge, who joins us on the 7th anniversary of the opening of her shop..congrats! Our conversation goes from basic repairs that will keep your bike road-worthy to what it’s like running your own bike shop and the unique constraints of being a woman while doing it. We are then joined by Mass State Senator, William Brownsberger. The senator explains the omnibus bill he recently introduced entitled “An Act To Reduce Traffic Fatalities” and then recounts a cross-country bicycle trip he took across our great land. Finally, we are joined by Laura Borrelli, a biology teacher at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School, who is mentoring a group of young bicycle advocates who are calling the city to account to ensure they build the bicycle accommodations they have committed to.
